Updates and Prayers for Australia Wildfires
Please take a moment and lift up the people in Australia who are dealing with these wildfires in the comments below. Pray for the families that have lost loved once, for those injured, for those that are fighting tirelessly to put the fires out, and for God to bring both rain and Peace.
Praying for rain, mateship and for the lifting of God and His wonderous grace in Australia.
Thanks for your prayers. It has been a sad week for our state and country.Pray for the direct victims and also the unsung heroes. A friend of our family has a daughter who works on the telephones taking emergency calls. She was mid sentence to a family with 6 people in a car when it was engulfed with flames with no survivors. It will be a long time before she recovers from the shock of this horrific incident.
I had the honour of working on the Red Cross lines earlier in the week and was overcome by the generosity of the Australians who donated funds to assist the victims. In a three hour period I took credit card donoations of over $6000.
Lord hear our prayers…………
Thank you for sharing this story. It is such a tragedy what is happening. We are praying for all of you that have been affected by this. I pray that through the heart-breaking stories that God would be lifted up. That hope would shine through. I pray for the much needed rain and donations to come. God we lift up these families and this tragedy in Australia. We need you and trust you!
Thanks for you prayers for donations and rain. One of our most famous Australian poems starts with the words 'I love a sunburnt country", I think we would rather it a bit less burnt at the moment.
Just as Ps Kevin said – keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
rnsheets asked if Christian Brothers/Sisters in the U.S could help at all? The victims have been blessed with material goods of food and clothing so much so, that they have been seeking warehouse space just to cope with the donated goods. But they can always use money. If anyone feels inclined to donate please visit

Hey, mate. Thank you for the info on that. I got that website up and will make a contribution $ wise. Have a fellow Brother in Victoria and told me that we Bros/Sis here in the States can donate. How are you doing, Bellman?
Hi rn, thanks for asking. My family and I are fine. We are probably 2 hours drive from the fires and apart from the residual smoke that has blanketed our skyline, we are physically unaffected. Emotionally – the whole country is affected.
Standing in agreement with everyone and lifting up to God all the request for our friends in Australia!
Is there anyway that us Christian Brothers/Sisters here in the U.S. can help out in contributing?
Hey Thanks so much for your prayers LC!
I live around 15 miles south of the fires here in Victoria, the death toll stands at 181 and is expected to climb towards 300 over the next week. It is taking some time to find people such was the strength of the fire, whole towns and villages are literally gone. It is a very strange feeling. MORE than 1830 homes were confirmed destroyed by the fires, with at least 7000 people homeless and 413,000 hectares have burned so far.
Please continue to pray for those affected, and pray for the churches as we respond here.
oh, that is terrible. 300 people? has anyone caught the person who started the fires yet?
They caught one arsonist for a different large fire in our state, but some are just natural fires. To see what it is really like check out our local newspapers website http://www.theage.com.au that has some incredible footage from a local who survived in a bunker of the fire approaching… you can see the intensity. I've never seen anything like it and I've seen a few fires
Father God we just come to you tonight, partnering alongside our Aussie mates asking for a severely needed out pouring of rain to quench these brushfires. Lord bring your loving comfort upon the families directly affected and may the generous acts of many prove Christ's love to those who witness the WORLD coming together to aid our fellow man and woman in Godly Obedience. Bring justice to those guilty of starting some of the fires Lord. One dumb act by few have caused complete devastation and fear for so many. Heal the hurts of all countrymen and women of Australia as they wait for the rebuilding process to begin. Thank you for keeping our Brother, Matt Savva and his family safe and out of harms way to date Lord and thank you that we can truly be a GLOBAL community caring for one another. In Your Precious Name I pray. Amen!
God Bless You all in Australia and Bless all of YOU who are stepping up to pray, send aid, etc. You LC Family are a great example of Brotherly Love for one another!
Love ya All,
Danny
