Engaging Your Kids in Church Online
I’m often asked how our kids are learning about God since church online is our family’s church home, and the fact is, children are part of the “everyone” we can reach with church online! Simple things such as taking a passage of Scripture shared in a message and looking it up with my kids in their children’s Bible or discussing what we’re learning at church are just a few of the ways we engage our kids in church online. Our family attends Church Online every week! We bought a moving light that changes colors that we plug in during the worship time, our 2 year old Amelia LOVES it… we all dance and sing together as a family. It’s amazing how God moves in all of us! During the message my wife and I interact and play with the girls. After the experience, my wife and I talk it over. Thank you so much for Church Online, it has changed our lives!

Steve – I can just imagine your family having church together in your home each week – what a great picture! Thanks for sharing with us all.
I want to add something that is a testimony as well as a confession. My fear about my kids not having a local church to attend every week was not so much about them missing something fun as much as it was about me realizing I would be taking on more responsibility in my kids’ spiritual development than I had been. Even though I’d been teaching my kids about Jesus for 4 years at that point in time, I admit I was more than happy to lean heavily on their experience at LifeKIDS every week as a primary means for them learning about Jesus and the Bible.
If any of you are feeling incapable of taking on a larger responsibility in your kids’ spiritual development like I did, let’s take a cue from this week’s message…because the Holy Spirit stands ready to help us lead our children to become fully devoted followers of Christ!
My daughter and love going to LifeKIDS.tv. We watch the Toon Town messages which are extremely engaging. There are resources on LifeKIDS.tv for 2-10 years olds.

Great thoughts! I love how you just simply include them in what’s going on and then discuss it. It’s so organic and puts you more in the drivers’ seat. It’ll be interesting to see some time in the future studies done with ppl who’ve grown up with online church as opposed to attending a physical church.
