40 Experiences and Beyond!
There have been some exciting things happening at Church Online lately, and I’d like to take a moment to share with you a few of the highlights.
FORTY!
Did you know that we now have 40 online experiences every week? That means there are 40 opportunities each week for people around the world to encounter the love of God through the times of worship, the messages, and the interaction with volunteers. These are led by volunteer leaders called “experience captains” and they come from all over the world. Right now we have captains in Australia, Canada, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Guatemala, India, South Africa and the United Kingdom, as well as in many of the United States.
New Launches
We’ve had several new experiences launch in the past few weeks. Let me tell you about the great team that runs a new Wednesday 10 PM CT experience. This team is comprised entirely of volunteers from Grace Community Church in Champaign, Illinois; the church is a member of the LifeChurch.tv network. Brittany Black, the experience captain for this team, recently said, “I seriously can’t explain how amazing it is to be a part of this. My team gets more pumped every week!”
Aiming for 50!
While 40 experiences per week is a big accomplishment, we’re not done yet – we are aiming for 50! It’s not just because 50 is a nice round number. We want to provide 50 weekly experiences because each one targets a different time zone around the world, giving more opportunities for the message of Jesus and His love to reach a global audience.
Own an Experience
How can you be part of reaching this goal and sharing the life-changing truth of Jesus to people across the globe? You join a team of volunteers that serve around the Church Online experiences. You could welcome and encourage people as a chat host, pray with people as a live prayer volunteer, provide tech support or manage the interactive elements of the experience. Or you could become an experience captain and lead a team of volunteers. To find out more about these roles, check out our serve page and consider signing up!
