During the month of July and the At the Movies Series we are having Dinner and a Movie Meetups! We already have 28 Meetups in 6 different countries!
What’s a Dinner and a Movie Meetup Again?
Dinner and a Movie Meetups are informal gatherings that help you get to know your church online friends in person, or connect with your community/neighbors, swap stories, share a meal, and have a great time watching At the Movies at Church Online.
Five Steps to setting up a Dinner and a Movie Meetup
- Get the Recipes: Each week of the month of July we will be releasing a new recipe and cooking video for your Dinner and a Movie meetup. Click Here to see what Chef Arly is cooking up!
- Find/start an Dinner and a Movie Meetup: Go to http://www.meetup.com/church-online/ to find or schedule a Meetup. Create a meetup by clicking the Schedule a Meetup button.
- Become an organizer: Every meetup needs someone to take the lead, why not you? If you are already an organizer of a meetup and need some assistance choosing a venue, you can send a message to all of the other attendees.
- Pick a venue: You can’t have a Meetup without a venue. Your home, a local pub, coffee shop, library, or school can all serve as meetup locations, you can even take it outside to a park or beach—it is summer after all.
- Chose when: The last detail is to figure out the day and time your meetup will… meet!
- Meetup Kit: All Meetup Organizers will get a Meetup Kit that includes:
- 1 Page PDF with Promotion and Meetup Ideas
- PDF with Dinner and a Movie Invite Cards
- Posters/Signs you can Print out!
- BONUS KIT: If your Meetup gets 10 or more people registered to come we will send your Organizer:
- Five Printed Poster/Signs

Once you get the details of your Meetup worked out be sure to spread the word to everyone in your area/network/neighborhood – there are Facebook and Twitter links on the right side of each Meetup that help! Have fun!
